There are three bedrooms upstairs on the third floor and one family suite on the lower level. The primary bedroom has a stunning room with high ceilings and wood flooring. The large windows allow in natural light during the day and the comfortable recliners in a sitting area near the window create a beautiful quiet place to enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the treetops, mountains, and Lake Winnipesaukee. The other two upper-level bedrooms also offer lovely views of the surrounding landscape and a cozy mountain lodge aesthetic with solid wood bed frames, large windows, and plush carpeting. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the other a twin-over-full bunk bed. Granite Vista is the perfect four-season home, with great insulation and heating for the winter, and central A/C for the summer. Year-Round Driveway Restrictions: Due to the unique nature of our property's long, steep driveway, guests are prohibited from accessing the premises with trailers, vehicles equipped with lift gates, or low-clearance vehicles. This restriction is in place to ensure the safety of our guests and to prevent potential damage to both the vehicles and the driveway. We respect your privacy! There are no interior cameras. We do have a doorbell camera at each exterior door for your safety and for the security of our home. Quiet hours are from 8pm-8am and we ask that you take all conversations inside after 8pm because neighbors will (and have) complained. We have a noise monitoring device outside, under the deck. Our noise monitoring device only measures the sound level, and will not record private conversations. Please do not tamper with these or any safety devices - it is a violation of house rules. We are super easy going and flexible, but we are serious about this. If you tamper with any safety devices on our property, you will be asked to leave, and we will not issue a refund for any portion of your stay. Thank you. - Unfortunately, no cats and no smoking. I am extremely allergic to both. And we ask that you limit dogs to 3 well-behaved furry friends. - The house is well-equipped to sleep 10 people in beds with linens provided. - Bunk Bed Safety Warning: There are certain risks associated with using a bunk bed and bunk bed ladder, and guests agree that use is at your own risk. Property owner assumes no responsibility for personal loss, injury, or illness of any kind which may result from use of the bunk bed and ladder. The owners are not liable for any accidents occurring. Parents with children should be especially cautioned regarding ladder use and agree to accept all responsibility for minors. While not an exhaustive list of precautions, guests agree to follow these industry standards: 1) Use of top bunk is limited to occupants 6 years or older; 2) Use of top bunk is limited to 1 occupant and a maximum 175 lb weight; 3) No jumping or other horseplay on or around the bed; 4) Always use ladder for entering and leaving the upper bunk.

Granite Vista is located within Gunstock Acres, a community of year-round residents and vacation homes. Our roads are paved and hilly - we're located at the very top! Gunstock Mountain and Ellacoya State Park are 6 minutes by car. Wiers Beach is 15 minutes (access to Lake Winnipesaukee from the latter two). From here, you can swim, launch kayaks, launch a boat, or just enjoy the views. You will find plenty of amenities with 15-20 minutes by car in Gilford and Laconia (large grocery stores, Home Depot, Lowe's, restaurants, gas stations, services, etc.)

Guest access

From the moment you arrive and make use of the convenient self-check-in, we encourage you to enjoy the entire house. The property is at your complete disposal with the exception of the owner’s closet. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience. This is a dog-friendly home! We look forward to hosting you and your furry friend. Granite Vista is the perfect four-season home that boasts great insulation and heating for the winter, and central air conditioning for the summer. The main entrance is up about 15 exterior stairs. A sliding door on the lower level grants access into the entirety of the lower level of the home, however, the door will need to be opened from the inside. The lower level has full sleeping accommodations and a full bathroom, but the kitchen will be up one flight of stairs from there. There is ample secure parking available for up to six vehicles at the top of the driveway.

Jason and Rory’s place is exactly what we needed. After a couple of fun, action packed days, we were looking for a retreat in Gilford. A graduation brought us to town but this house gave us the R&R we were seeking. From the top floor you get views of the lake and the balcony on the main floor was probably the best spot each morning for our coffee. The beds were comfy and the peacefulness of the neighborhood meant we slept well every night. If you are seeking a well appointed home that offers a place to lounge and gather but is close to everything the town has to offer, I’d highly recommend this place.

This place is great. Beautiful location. Great amenities. Host is responsive and helpful. The house has a whole house generator which came in handy because the area lost power during our stay. The lights went out for 30 seconds, and then the generator kicked on and kept going until the power came back on a few hours later. Great plus of the property. Kitchen was well stocked. The house was clean. Beds are super comfy. We are already planning our next visit.

Find us

You will need a car to get to Granite Vista. We have plenty of parking for up to 6 cars at the top of our driveway. As you can tell from the panoramic photos, our home is located high atop a hill. Both Gunstock Acres and our driveway are steep and very hilly. We strongly recommend all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles in the winter. We have our driveway plowed and sanded, and the Town of Gilford maintains the community roads, but please note that during and after storms, you will need to drive slowly and with extreme caution. We have a Jeep Cherokee, and it drives very well on the hills, even in the snow.
